Ppphheeuuwww it’s been a crazy week….
It’s that time of the year where we have to attend the #SAFW17 and see our favourite designers show casing their skills. To watch our favourite models rocking these designs. So it was a jump of course. I only attended 2 shows (as I said, it’s been a crazy week).
Firstly: what do I wear to a fashion event? Pressure is always on one hundred for such events because they represent my passion, my interests and profession. So I emptied my wardrobe and still found nothing appropriate (hides). So I decided on 2 outfits, thanks to my Facebook followers whodh helped me choose what to wear.
We all need help, right?
So my photographer and I were sitting in the front row as I admired the work of the talented Ephraim Molingoane for Ephymol with Cape Wools. I tried to arrive on time so we can take the whole scenery. I networked, I met people and made new associates so the event was a great night. Even though the weather sucked for my outfit. I enjoyed the shows and wish I had taken videos, well next time darlings.
This blog post however isn’t about the show itself more than it is about my experience at the show because the SAFW has been written about while some of us were still editing pics LOL. So of course I wasn’t going to miss the country’s only business to business fashion platform. And it’s always nice to be there to witness the new upcoming designers.
Spice TV was there amongst other media houses to capture the beautiful moments. Oh spice tv snapped my outfit cos they loved it, yessss!!! Thanks to I AM WOMAN for dressing me that night. So obviously my favourite moments are the actual show but outside the show is where the business is. The getting to know other people in the same circle is always great.
The weather switched up on us but thank God I was ready, yup I packed 2 outfits. Y’all know I’m obsessed with jumpsuits, they just so easy to put on. So I wore this jumpsuit and coat from I AM WOMAN. Who thought blue and green could go so well…
